The French player seemed to be someone else on court, widely known for his frivolity on court, he was from start to finish, controlled by the indian's precise game. Jayaram played tremendously throughout the two games, great defense met with very technical drop shots, he quickly took the lead, creating a distinctive gap, enabling the French any possible come back. At 17-3, Lo Ying Ping had already given up all hope of a comeback but did start to shows signs of finding the game that had deseted him for the first part of the match. The second game looked much better than the previous for the French player. Both players were exchanging service, longer rallies took place, the Frenchman even took the lead, giving fresh hope to the French public, but at 12-11 for Lo ying Ping, surprisingly, the fire went out in Lo Ying Ping as he let Jayaram control the remainder of the game and earn the last nine points to the match point, to leave the Frenchman disillusioned. Twenty-one minutes and a severe defeat later, the Frenchman was feeling very angry. "I just didn't want to play. Some people just don't understand but I need to feel like I want to play. I really needed to take holidays, two or three days, just wanted to relax. Some people don't understand that. I am just very angry at the moment," explained the Frenchman after his defeat.Lo Ying Ping's dream of playing against Lin Dan has now totally vanished, but for the Indian, the road to the main draw is still a rocky one as he will have to overcome the Dane Christian Lind Thomsen who beat in straight games, France's Julien Tchoryk 21-10, 21-10. It was highly expected, Eriko Hirose (pictured right before her game) showed her top class game and quickly took care of Perrine Lebuhanic. The recent semi-finalist at the Denmark Open, will still have to overcome another French player on her road to the main draw, Sashina Vignes, before an expected first round match against home favourite Pi Hongyan.
