![]() Come on and share the story of my Olympic Games (15th October 2008, 15:45:27) Firstly, I’m really sorry that I hadn’t been online to chat with all of you for a very long time. This is because I had been too busy after the Olympic Games have ended. It’s been a long time since I last came online and I’m feeling a little lost now, so where shall I start with? Well, I am really glad that I have won the gold medal on the 29th Beijing Olympic Games! I really did not expect all this. Honestly, I had been facing a lot of pressure before the games due to my injuries and my qualification in the games. I once doubted seriously if I could take part, or whether I will be able to do well, and even could I overcome my injuries? However, I only had one aim. That is to give my best no matter what the outcome will be, as long as I have gone all out. When I knew I was qualified to play in the games, I told myself that I must train a lot harder. I wanted to complete this mission perfectly. I wasn’t just playing for myself but on behalf of the citizens of the whole country. I wanted to give them the best game so that I don’t disappoint them and their hopes for us. I thought that I must succeed in this mission; and of course, I am most glad that I am able to take part in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Let’s all look back at my matches during the Olympic Games… All five of my matches were very challenging to me, and it really isn’t easy. However, I broke up during the last three matches. I cried after the match against Pi Hongyan. It was my hunger for victory that I managed to defeat her. In the end, I was too tired that my tears started welling. I was really trying my best to hold on to the game and felt that it was really and uneasy victory so I cried. In the semi finals, I also cried after I defeated Yulianti of Indonesia. This victory was very different from the previous one. I felt that my mission have finally accomplished as I had been telling myself before the games that I must play my part well, and after that match I have finally fulfilled my promise. In the finals, I was still trying to play my best because I wanted to work harder towards my goal. I won the rubble set 21-18 and at the same time I have finally achieved my dream and my aim. When the last shuttle hit the ground, I was totally out of words to describe my emotion at the moment. I was far too excited. After so many years of hard work and psychological war against my injuries, I have finally won!!! At that instant, I only thought of the people whom I would want like to thank sincerely. Thank you chief coach! Thank you coach Li Yongbo and my coach. Thanks for your trusts in me that has allowed me to achieve my dreams. I would also like to thank the whole nation for your support and concern. I have learnt a very important thing after the Olympic Games this time. That is: Work hard towards your dream, never give up and you are sure to succeed!
